CARBON LASER PEEL
The Carbon Laser peel is a revolutionary laser treatment with minimal-to-zero downtime.
The Carbon Laser Peel treatment is suited to all skin types, particularly those with oily skin, blackheads or enlarged pores.
It is also excellent for dull skin, exfoliating deeply and providing an instant refreshed appearance, leaving skin feeling softer, smoother, and firmer.
It is also suitable for acne on the face or body, reducing P.A bacteria (not suitable for active/pustular acne, see our IPL treatment).
The carbon bonds with any debris that might be present, such as dead skin cells, blocked pores, contaminants, and oil. Laser light is passed across the surface of the skin.
The light is attracted to the carbon particles which destroy this debris in the pores. The laser pushes the energy, in the form of heat, deep into the layers of skin where elastin and collagen are activated, and cells begin to be renewed, the carbon is vaporised along with any dirt, oil and dead skin cells.
The Carbon Laser peel exfoliates three times as much as a chemical peel!
Noticeable results can be experienced after a single treatment. For maximum results, 3-6 treatments are recommended, with an interval of 2 to 4 weeks in-between
A course of 6 or more treatments will stimulate new cell regeneration by encouraging the growth of collagen and elastin fibres, producing firmer, plumper skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

AM I SUITABLE FOR TREATMENT?
Suitable for, up to and including a Fitzpatrick skin type 4/5.
Westfield Clinic requires you to complete a short Medical Questionnaire before you commence any laser or IPL treatments. Some conditions or medications prohibit you from laser treatments and would be unsafe for you at that time. It is important for the effectiveness of the treatment that you are generally fit and well and that your immune system is not compromised.
The medical questionnaire will ask you to list any medications so we can check you are suitable for treatment. We ask this because some medications can cause photosensitivity, these can include but are not limited to: Antibiotics Antihypertensives Antiparasitics Diuretics Hypoglycaemics NSAID and Retinoids.
It is not uncommon to request you obtain GP authorisation before treatment can go ahead for some conditions or medications.
During the consultation, the treatment will be discussed fully and a series of 3 small patch tests will be carried out, enabling the correct parameters to be established and check your skin's tolerance to light. Full treatment can then commence 3-14 days later.
